I taught with Steve at Rogers High back in the '90s. I was a new teacher, and Draz helped me get through most days. He was a funny, outspoken, generous man that will be missed tremendously.

Just now heard of Mr. Drazsnnak's passing--I was privileged to have him as a teacher at RHS (Spanish) more years ago than I'd care to remember. One of my all-time favorite teachers and a great guy.

Steve was always such a happy guy who was genuinely interested in others. I’m sure his students would testify to that. Larry and I send our sincere condolences.
Dear Mary Beth,
I have such wonderful warm memories of Steve from the days when he was studying for his Master’s degree and teaching Spanish in the Foreign Language Dept. at the University—even though I was in the French program. He carried with him such a spirit of joy and happiness that if one were downhearted, then soon he would have replaced that with some of his joyful mirth and aura of positivity. Surely, there will be days when your sorrow will be interspersed with smiles when you recall the joy and happiness you were blessed to have shared with him over so many years.
God’s Blessings,
Dr. Margaret Clark
Dear Beth and family,
I will always remember his smiling face from years of choir with him at Central. He was a joy to know.

Uncle Steve was a fun-loving, cheerful educator who inspired his students, friends, and family with his humor and kindness. At a time of sorrow in our family, he stepped in to help, and shared his good nature freely. I know he loved his involvement in the local theater scene, and I often wished I could have seen him perform. Although we only had a few family gatherings at his home in my youth, I will always remember the fun games we played, and the stories he and my mother, his sister Kathleen, told of their lives and the fun they had. I knew him as a lover of music, art, education, and dogs - what more could you ask of an exemplary human being. Peace to Beth, Jacques, Michael and their families. Tobi
Beth, Jacques, and Michael -- enormous, tearful condolences for your loss. Steve's wonderful personality and huge smile always made your house a home of warmth for me and my brothers growing up in Fayetteville. Please know he will be missed with great memories of love, fun, and togetherness. - Jim Chittenden

Steve has always held a special place in my heart. We were "buddies" in junior high where a group of us would meet at the Whittington Park Skating Rink on Saturdays. We would walk to Central Avenue to Walgreen's, have a coke, and wait on the city bus to take us home. And then we became high schoolers and there were so many activities that our roller skating days were over. But, Steve was in the band (Drum Major) and there were lots of early before school practices with the T-Steppers (I was one!)) with the band at Rix stadium so we still shared time together. I have such good memories of those years and of my roller skating buddy! My deepest sympathies to Steve's family. Please know that he was an integral part of Hot Springs High School's Class of 1960.

Gregarious yet private, hilarious yet melancholy, but, above all, a sweet man. We’ll miss you, Draz.
