Steven Lynn Rogers' Obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of our son, brother, and uncle, Steven Lynn Rogers (proudly known as Uncle Stevo). He was born November 27, 1974, and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He traveled the world and was a self-proclaimed resident of the world. Steven passed away unexpectedly as a result of a pulmonary embolism on September 18, 2023, at the age of 48.
Steven is survived by his parents Jerry and Inola Rogers (The two people he called his best friends and declared them as the best God created and said it was an honor to call them Mom and Dad.). He is also survived by his siblings Mike Rogers (Marcia), Jerri Ann Lamb (Marty Lamb), Kyle Rogers (Amanda), his nieces and nephews, Rachel, Julia Finney (Caleb Finney), Lyla Lamb, Luke Lamb, Ty Lamb, Cole and Cade, a cousin he called brother, Jacky Wayne Smith, and many friends he loved like family. Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilburn and Reba Rogers and Jack and Leola Beaty.
Steven graduated from the University of Arkansas. His love for music and legacy of storytelling based on his life adventures and experiences will live on through the people he loved. The simplest of pleasures he shared with family and friends were his greatest joy. Steven experienced more life during his time on earth than most people do in a long lifetime. His love and laughter will be missed by so many.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 21, 2023, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Moore’s Funeral Chapel, 206 W Center St., Fayetteville, AR 72701. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday at Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, Steven would want you to spread generosity and acts of kindness to the people who need it most around you
