Steven Dwyane Taylor's Obituary
Steven Dwyane Taylor, 59, of Little Rock, Arkansas was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior and his dearly missed family on January 24, 2020. He was born April 10, 1960 in Little Rock the son of Jack Taylor and Beverly Taylor, who preceded him in death.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Nona Lavern Taylor, a brother John Thomas Taylor. His paternal grand parents Bill and Mildred Harp, Lloyd and Fannie Taylor his maternal grandparents Gordon and Mabel Johnson, uncle Raymond Johnson and Jimmy Johnson and wife Priscilla Johnson and Ann Johnson.
He is survived by aunts and uncles Twila Johnson, Joan and Bob Hall, Mary and Frank Grant, Bob and Susan Johnson and many cousins.
After graduating from McClellan High School in 1978 he worked for 20 years for some of the finest hotels in Little Rock. He spent the last 25 years working for the Department of Commerce and was to retire in April, 2020.
He was always willing to help anyone who has a need even if he wasn’t physically able. Thanks to his cousin Kathy Jordan who was there for him during his time in rehabilitation and was always a great source of encouragement to him. Also Rose Little and her son James, were by his side through all of his surgeries and illnesses. No way we can express our gratitude to them.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in June, 1974 and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.
Viewing will be at Moore’s Funeral Home from 11:00-1:00 on Tuesday, January 28, followed by a Graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
