Sue Lynne Cordischi's Obituary
Sue Lynne Cordischi, a one-of-a-kind mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, in her family home. She faced a seven-year battle with head and neck cancer with remarkable grace and courage. Though the journey was challenging, she never once gave up. Her strength and resilience will serve as an inspiration to all who knew her.
Sue was born on May 25, 1971, in South Korea and was adopted by Duane and Shirley Arick in South Bend, Indiana. She graduated from Riley High School in South Bend and attended Indiana University. Sue worked for the Rogers Public School District in Rogers, Arkansas, as well as Tyson Foods, Inc. in Springdale, Arkansas.
Sue is survived by her parents, Duane and Shirley Arick; her children, Ashley Ley and Andrew Cordischi; and her siblings, Bruce Arick, Kevin Arick, Kim Won, and Jeff Arick.
Sue was a truly remarkable woman who brought warmth and joy to every part of her life. She loved preparing beautiful meals for her family and for guests fortunate enough to gather at her table. On the tennis court, she played with determination and spirit—a fierce and passionate competitor. She was her children’s greatest supporter, wholeheartedly present in every step of their journeys and adventures. Sue had a radiant optimism, always finding light even in difficult moments. She touched countless lives with her kindness. Her positive spirit and lasting influence will continue to be felt by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on June 13, 2026, at Hunt Chapel (5930 S. Wallis Rd., Rogers, AR 72758). All of Sue’s family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by her are invited to join in honoring and remembering her beautiful life.
The family of Sue wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. John Esther, Dr. Foster Lasley, Dr. Simeon Jaggernauth, and the nurses and staff of Highlands Oncology and Circle of Life for the care they provided throughout her journey. They gave the most precious gift of all—TIME.
