Sylvester Winfield Guist's Obituary
Sylvester Winfield Guist, Age 86, a life-long resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born January 16, 1924 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Robert Edwin Guist and Elvie Edna Cook Guist. He was a charter member of Sang Avenue Baptist Church, Fayetteville, Arkansas. He loved the Lord and is now in heaven. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He retired from Arkhola Sand and Gravel after 33 years of service. He loved catfishing on the Illinois River and was an avid elk and deer hunter in Colorado for many years. He was a dedicated Arkansas Razorback fan; he loved those ‘Hawgs’ ! He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa.
