Terrie Webb's Obituary
Miss Terrie Webb, 53 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Saturday, October 25, 2003 in Fayetteville. She was born June 17, 1950 in Little Rock, AR to Thompson B. and Patricia C. (Crawford) Webb. She was a retired restaurant owner and a Presbyterian. Terrie had a lifelong interest in Art, ceramics, pottery, and fine food.
Terrie was always gentle and friendly. She never hurt another person and took little note of any unkindness that came her way. She loved a wide variety of music, collected pottery and art, and enjoyed fine food. She was an excellent and creative cook. She made many friends who have stayed close to her despite the passage of time and the separation of space. She treasured friendship and her family above everything. And because of all of this she was greatly loved by those who knew her.
She was physically strong and worked hard. She was endlessly curious about life and where she would find her place in the world. She went to college for a few years, worked at a variety of jobs, refurbished an charming bungalow with the help of her parents and friends, started a popular restaurant, and experienced success and loss with equal equanimity. Her place in this life, as it turned out, was to be in the center of a crowd of people who returned her radiant love. Her parents cared for her in their home and over time others helped them and became devoted to Terrie as a friend, because she gave them much more in kindness and laughter than she asked in care.
The great struggle of her life was with relentless illness which for so many years could not tire or sadden her. She never complained and she accepted loss with cheerfulness and humor. In the last 10 years she had to part with many precious things and she did so without regret or question. Her steadfast courage spared those near her from pain and gave them instead hope and affection for her.
When she had gently released all with which she had been blessed, she in turn was released from this life. With those who loved her gathered around her bed, she went as gently as the fall of a leaf.
She is survived by her parents of Fayetteville, AR, one brother; Thompson B. Webb III of Fayetteville, AR and one niece Sarah A. Webb of Fayetteville.
