Tom brought big-city journalism to our mid[size Chester newspaper. It was an honor to work for him. Because he retired so early, I succeeded him as editor and tried to share what I learned from him. He and Jane also threw some great parties in their Colonial home.
I had the great privilege of taking a trip to Europe in a group with Tom and Jane Davis and my Parents, Richard and Alma Brothers. We all enjoyed our time together greatly. Later on, I had the pleasure of seeing Tom when he'd drop Jane off to get her hair done by my friend Sandy Owens. We'd always have a good lively chat when we saw each other. His wit and wisdom were incomparable. I hope his family will accept my sincere condolences.
