Thomas Roy Evans' Obituary
Thomas Roy Evans, 71, of Rogers, Arkansas went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 6, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to R.D. Evans and Erline Heddins Evans.He proudly served in the United States Navy and retired after twenty years service to our country. Following his Naval Career, he went to work as an accountant and retired from Cargill in Springdale, AR. He attended Southside Church of Christ.Tom enjoyed the outdoors, playing tennis, fishing and working on projects around the house. He was known as Mr. Fix-it because he could fix anything and loved doing it!He was an active, wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to his family and was affectionately known to everyone as WaWa . He even had it on his license plate. It was term of endearment started many years ago by his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rita Willingham. Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Clemmons Evans; two daughters, Lisa Jameson and Sabrina Perry, both of Rogers; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Luzzi and husband, Rick, Brooke Boller and husband, Jairemy Smith, Madison Boger and husband, Ryan, Haley Perry; 7 great grandchildren, Tripton Luzzi, Ashlyn Luzzi, Brooklyn Luzzi, Ja Dyxx Smith, Adley Boger, Parker Boger, Nora Boger; one brother, Alvin Evans and wife, Kathy of Lubbock, TX and many dear friends.Memorial services will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Southside Church of Christ in Rogers with Minister Jackie Chesnutt officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00PM at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville with full military honors.Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
