Thomas F. Fixmer's Obituary
Thomas F. Fixmer, Fayetteville, AR, formerly of Tulsa, Oklahoma died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale, AR. Born July 2, 1935, he spent most of his life in Tulsa and Bixby, Oklahoma, retiring to Arkansas in 1997. His professional life was spent in sales with Sinclair Oil and Gas Company, Pepsi-Cola Company and Canteen Company of Oklahoma before starting his own business partnerships in dry cleaning and vending services.
He attended Oklahoma A&M and Tulsa University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Praternity. Married to his wife Sara, they recently celebrated their 51st anniversary.
He is survived by his wife, Sara of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Michael Victor of Murphy, TX and a son-in-law, Steve Jaynes of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Grandchildren surviving him are Lauren Helton, Cassie and Ryan Victor, Stephanie Jaynes Mathis, and Alex Jaynes. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, along with many special friends and extended family.
A daughter, Audrey Fixmer Jaynes, a son, Kristopher Sean Fixmer, parents B.F. and Maxine Fixmer, sister Ann Fixmer Garrison, and brother Charles B. Fixmer are awaiting his arrival in heaven, along with many other loved ones and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 206 West Johnson, Springdale, AR 72764 on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Although Tom loved flowers, he would prefer bouquets to help others. Friends and relatives if they wish to, may make contributions to The Circle of Life Hospice of Springdale, AR, THe First United Methodist Church in Springdale, AR, or The University of Tulsa Athletic Program in Tom’s memory.
