Lionel was a very good man in so many ways. I met him in the early 1980's when I was a pesticide specialist with the Cooperative Extension Service. Later I became his supervisor--- or maybe he really became mine ! I knew nothing about poultry and Lionel knew it. But he was willing to teach me and introduce me to key poultry company personnel.Later when I moved to another position in Extension, he never changed his manner to me. He was always friendly and acted as if I had been his next door neighbor for years. He was well respected by the industry and by all who knew him in Extension. He helped make the poultry industry in Arkansas what it is today - a dynamic, adaptable, and life saving industry for many Arkansas farmers.I will miss his infectious smile, his wry sense of humor and I will miss him as a friend. May God rest his soul, give him joy in heaven and comfort and strengthen his family and friends.
