Thomas James Prysby's Obituary
Thomas James Prysby, 80, a loving husband, father, and grandfather left this world on September 7th. Born in Detroit, Michigan on October 23, 1943, to Raymond and Charlotte Prysby, he will be remembered for his kindness, caring nature, and love of his family. He was a Wayne State University graduate, a proud United States Army veteran, and a sports official for over 30 years.
Married to Sandra Dalka-Prysby, the love of his life and wife for over 40 years they had three loving children Andy Prysby (Brenna), Libby Kime (Brian), and Emily Prysby (Jeff). He was known as “Grandpa Tom” to his Grandchildren Charlotte, Charles, William, Warner, and Emmy Jane, and a loving Uncle to Ann (Ian), Paul (Pach), Jill (Craig), Jennifer (Scott), Sandra (Olivier), Jon, Karie, Marcie, Molly, Katelyn (Brandon) and Grace.
Along with Sandra, he joins his sister Marge, brother Robert, first wife Kathy, and daughter Laura in heaven.
Funeral Mass will be held on September 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, 2100 Twelve Mile Rd., Royal Oak, MI 48073. Visitation at church begins at 9:30 AM.
In place of flowers please send donations to the VA Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville, AR, or the John D. Dingell VAMC in Detroit, MI (VA.gov) in his name.
