Thomas Gene Wilson's Obituary
Thomas Gene Wilson, age 80 of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away January 6, 2019 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born November 13, 1938 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of John P. and Oleta Martin Wilson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Rhoda Lee Wilson and Martha Ward Preston, and 1 brother William Ingram Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie C. Wilson; 1 daughter Teresia and husband Shane of Lincoln, Arkansas; 2 sons, Thomas E. and wife Freda of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and William J. and wife Michelle of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; 2 sisters, Nora Heath of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and Priscilla Watson of Keller, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other family, friends, and loved ones.
Tom served his country in the Air Force from March 5, 1957, to March 3, 1961, during the Vietnam era. He worked at Shipley Baking company for 20 years, and then went on to work for the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville for 16 years. During his life he enjoyed his family and friends, square dancing, raising cattle, and trips to the beach.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, January 11, at 11:00 AM at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
