Dear Judy, family and friends of Tom,
On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans, we offer our sincere condolences at Tom´s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" departs on Eternal Patrol. He served with honor in the U.S. Submarine Force.
To our "Brother-of-the-Phin" we say, "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. Fair Winds and Following Seas." Thank you for your service to our country.
Judy and family... "may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you." 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (ESV).

I met Tom about 20 years ago when Doc Wilson invited him to go fishing with us to Canada. He had just retired from the paper mill . We became good friends right away and went on many trips to fish for walleye, lake trout and pike in Canada. We also took many trips with Carl Longmire to Mexico bass fishing. I really liked hearing the many interesting stories he told about his time in the Navy. Tom would help in any way he could. On one trip to Mexico, I had a medical episode which I needed emercency surgery. Thank goodness Tom had the awareness to get us back into the US for my surgery. Tom was very resourceful and had the best attitude through all of our adventures and our misadventures, too.
