Tommy Louis Cawood's Obituary
Tommy Louis Cawood, age 85, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born March 16, 1938, in Harlan, Kentucky to Oscar Louis and Rena (Rutherford) Cawood Corum. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jane Lewis Cawood, and one brother David E Cawood. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fayetteville.
Tom was a long-time coach and teacher, both in high school and at church. He loved sports but his passion was pursuing truth, invoking thought and celebrating triumph in Christ through his daily Bible studies and devotionals.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Lynne Northcutt and her husband John of Knoxville, Tennessee and Carol Cawood Schoenrock and her husband Daron of Oakland, Tennessee and his son Mike Cawood of Fayetteville. Three grandchildren, Trey Northcutt, Erik Schoenrock and Bret Schoenrock, and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7pm Thursday March 14, 2024 at Harlan Funeral Home in Harlan, Kentucky. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday in the chapel at Harlan Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cawood Cemetery in Cawood, Kentucky.
