Tommy J. Evans' Obituary
Tommy J. Evans, age 72, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away on February 26, 2024. He was born on April 12, 1951, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to the late John and Thelma (Killion) Evans.
Tommy was a man of many passions, but his love for gardening truly set him apart. With a green thumb that seemed almost magical, he cultivated an amazing vegetable garden that brought joy and bounty to those around him.
For 32 years, Tommy dedicated his professional life to Tyson Foods, leaving a lasting impact on the company and earning the respect of his colleagues. His strong work ethic and commitment were evident in every task he undertook, reflecting his values of responsibility and dedication.
A faithful member of Eastside Assembly of God Church, Tommy found solace and community in his spiritual journey. His devotion to his faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout his life.
Tommy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sharon Kay Evans. His memory will be forever intertwined with the love they shared.
He is survived by his son, Michael Lewis, and daughter-in-law Susan; his grandchildren, Justin Lewis, Tyler Lewis, Ricky Lewis, and his fiancée Sierra; as well as his grandchildren, Hayden McGinnis, Karley Epperson, and Matthew White. Tommy is also remembered fondly by his nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Tommy's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 2, 2024, at Eastside Assembly of God in Bentonville with Pastor Robert Ward officiating.
