Veda Jean Whiteley Sauerwein's Obituary
Veda Jean Whiteley Sauerwein passed away Monday, June 23rd at the age of 81 in Springdale, Arkansas after a long illness. She was born in Huntsville, Arkansas the daughter of Robert Andrew and Bertha M. Whiteley.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard G. Sauerwein, her parents, three sisters and four brothers.
After a life in the United States Air Force with her husband retired to Northwest Arkansas in 1981.
She is survived by her children Candace and Lin Jones, M.D., of Houston, Texas, Sherry Blackwell of Carmichael, California, Richard Sauerwein of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Butch and Amy Sauerwein of Pineville, Missouri, Julia Reeves of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Georgina and Lonnie Jordan of Springdale, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren (with twins expected shortly); her brothers Joseph Whitely, Andrew and his wife Marge Whiteley and Bob and his wife Rhoda Harris.
Visitation will be Thursday June 26th 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A private graveside service will be held at Sons Chapel Cemetery on Friday June 27th.
