My husband was enrolled in the Ag Dept. where Ruff Gentry taught; I was a student secretary for the Ag Dept. and also rented an apartment from the Gentry's. They were always two of our favorites..... so kind and gentle and always influencing our young lives for the better. Mrs. Gentry would run across the street sometimes to tell me about a special feature on the 700 Club. She loved that program and wanted to share the encouragement it brought. After we had been graduated and married several years, we took a vacation through Arkansas and had the blessing of stopping to see the Gentry's. We'll never forget all the places they showed us and the DELICIOUS cornbread she baked in a cast iron skillet! We are sad to hear of her passing, but know she is rejoicing in heaven.
