Vickie Lynn Perry's Obituary
Vickie Lynn Perry, a beloved member of the Fayetteville community, passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 65. Born on October 17, 1957, in Bentonville, Arkansas, Vickie's life was marked by love, faith, and a deep commitment to her family and community.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, John Robinson, Sr., and Mamie Hazel Smith Robinson, as well as her sister, Sheila Robinson, and brother, James Martin Robinson. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Vickie was a devoted member of the Historic St. James Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconess. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she found great joy in her church family.
Family was at the center of Vickie's world. She adored her husband, Jake Perry, and cherished her children, Chasity, Cory, and Casey Perry, along with her grandchildren, Jacob Hampton, Jayden Hampton, Raven Hampton, Makena Hampton, and King Perry. Her role as a grandmother was a source of immense happiness, and she also shared her love with her friends' children, often happily volunteering to babysit. Other survivors are her brothers, John Robinson, Jr, Felix Robinson, Bryan Robinson; and sisters, Valerie Marheineke and Helen Robinson.
In addition to her family, Vickie had a passion for spending time with loved ones and engaging in friendly competition on the bowling lanes. Her warm smile and zest for life touched the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Vickie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, at Historic St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, with Rev. Curtiss P. Smith and Rev. Paul Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Historic St. James Missionary Baptist Church Youth Fund, located at 764 West North Street, Fayetteville, AR, 72701.
Vickie Perry will be remembered for her unwavering faith, boundless love, and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
