Vicky L. Bloss-Watson's Obituary
Vicky Bloss-Watson, 76, passed away on April 7, 2024, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, following a short illness. Vicky was born January 12, 1948, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Her father, Dale Bloss, was a salesman for Quaker Oats, which moved him to Ft. Smith and later Fayetteville. She attended Fayetteville schools from elementary to
high school.
Vicky served as a cardiovascular tech with the Cardiovascular Clinic in Springdale, and later the Mercy Cardiovascular Clinic in Rogers, where she worked for 37 years. She was married to her partner, Richard Watson, for 27 years.
Vicky’s loved ones remember her as a loving and vivacious person who could light up any room. She was passionate about her family and patients, reading and dancing. She
was a gregarious individual who loved to travel with her family, having visited Italy, Costa Rica, and the Bahamas in her later years. She was a member of Sequoyah United
Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
Vicky was preceded in death by her husband, father and a sister, Janice (Jani) McKee. She is survived by her three sons, Mike Hanshew (Michelle); Deen Hanshew (Lisa) all of Little Rock; Clint Hanshew (Jana); and brother, Kenny Bloss (Mary-Ann) of Springdale; nephews Jimmy McKee (Stacie) of Elkins and Craig McKee (Leigh Ann) of Springdale. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley, Lindsey, Sydney, Jani, Jake, Miller, Alyssa, Devyn and Peyton, and great-grandchildren Marley, Jade, Taylor, Sawyer, Vincent, Grayson, and Nova. In addition, Vicky is survived by her stepsisters, Ruth Cain, and Shirley Stephens of Springdale.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 19 from 5-7 pm, followed by a funeral service on Saturday, April 20 at 10 am. Both services will be held at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Vicky’s memory to the American Cancer Society or a local animal shelter.
