Waldo "Wally" Winter, III's Obituary
Waldo Wally Winter, III, 67, of Bella Vista, AR died December 5, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice Legacy Village. He was born November 6, 1948 in Lincoln, NE to Waldo William, II and June York Harmon Winter.Wally loved playing golf and cheering on his Huskers football team, but he especially loved his family and friends.He was known for his big heart and his caring nature for others and he was the gentle giant to all.He was a member of Northeast High School Hall of Fame in Lincoln NE, a proud member of Theta Xi Fraternity at the University of Nebraska and the brotherhood of former Cornhusker Football players.He was preceded in death by his father, Waldo Winter, II.Wally is survived by his wife of 11years, Peggy Winter of the home; two sons, Rob Camperlino of Atlanta, GA, Jason Camperlino and wife, Brandy of Nashville, TN; his mother, June Winter of Rogers, AR ; three brothers, Bob Winter and wife, Lucy of Lincoln, NE, John Winter and wife, Joyce of Rogers, AR and Mark Winter and wife, Kate of Lincoln, NE; grandsons Brayden Camperlino & Bryson Camperlino on Nashville TN.A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Friday, December 11, 2015 at St. Theodore s Episcopal Church with Father Craig Gavin officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice Legacy Village, 1201 NE Legacy Pkwy, Bentonville, AR 72712 or Nebraska Greats Foundation at nebraskagreatsfoundation.org.
