Walter Clayton Pierce's Obituary
Walter Clayton Pierce, 73 of Fayetteville died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at his home. He was born January 12, 1938 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas the son of Lloyd Pierce and Norah Tuck Pierce.
He was a member of Buckner Baptist Church and served in the US Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Chloe Boatright Pierce of the home; daughter, Patricia “Trish” and her husband, Jeff Watkins of Farmington; son, Craig and his wife, Barbara Pierce of Elkins; sister, Mary Jo and her husband, Phil Samuels of Fayetteville; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Stokes, Amber Houghland, Johnathan Pierce, Clayton Pierce, Zach Partain; 6 great-grandchildren; Chloe, Xander, Cache, Phalynn Stokes, Raelynn and Charleigh Houghland.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Moore’s Chapel.
Funeral service will be 10AM, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Buckner Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Shadrick and Ryan Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
