Life Legacy
Walter Warner Asher, Jr., age 68, of Winslow, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born August 8, 1947 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Walter Warner Asher, Sr. and Docia Robinette Asher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Koko Asher and a brother, Allen Asher. He was a retired automobile mechanic, race car driver and a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Marines. He was a beloved husband, father and loyal friend. He is survived by five daughters, Chantel Maskil of Kansas City, Kansas, Lena Perez of Kansas City, Kansas, Rana Asher of Winslow, KoKo Schiffman of Winslow, Dawn Sparks of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three sons, Anrie Asher of Winslow, Arkansas, Josh Asher of Winslow and Paul Pemberton of Winslow, Arkansas; two sisters, Gloria Fogarty of Joplin, Missouri and Connie Jordan of Joplin, Missouri; two brothers, Donald Asher of Springfield, Missouri and Raymond Asher of Kansas City, Kansas. Walt had 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, he was a father figure to countless other kids. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. The gates of heaven have opened as an angel has gained his wings, we love you dad. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 20, 2015 at his home.
