Walter W. Watson's Obituary
Mr. Walter W. Watson, 82 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Saturday, January 31, 2004 in his home. He was born February 22, 1921 in Swain, AR to George W. and Tempy J. (Young) Watson. He retired from the Arkansas State Employment Security Division in June of 1986.
He was a World War II Army Staff Sergeant serving as a Radio & Air Traffic Control Operator in the China Burma India Theater. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Springdale, AR.
His wife, Anna Marie Watson, one daughter; Joanna Zarriello and husband Brian of Chicago, Il, one granddaughter Lucia Zarriello of Chicago, Il, one sister; Opal Eversole of Emeryville, CA, many nephews, nieces and friends survive him.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 5, 2004 from 2:00P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, February 6, 2004 in Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.'s Charlie Foster and Charles Polston officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at National Cemetery in Fayetteville.
