Wanda Gertrude King's Obituary
Wanda Gertrude King, 86, of Springdale, died Sunday, March 2, 2025. She was born November 28, 1938, in Black Oak, Arkansas, the daughter of Oscar and Dixie Couch. She was a retired employee of Baldwin Piano and Organ after 45 years of service. She loved to read, work puzzles, and garden.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Powell and husband Gary of Elkins, and Debbie Mendenhall of Fayetteville; sister Deloris Paschal of Elkins; six grandchildren, Austin Mendenhall and wife Laura, Elizabeth Cochran and husband Cody, Joey Mounce and partner Jason Garcia, Chelsea Mendenhall-Horner and husband Dee, Nicole Powell, Cody Powell and wife Mandy; two great grandchildren, Jasmine Cochran and Thaddeus Mendenhall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 6th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral will be Friday, March 7, at 2:00 PM at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville, with burial to follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Elkins.
