Wanda Lee Easterling's Obituary
Wanda Lee Easterling, 86, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born October 8, 1922 in Greenland, Arkansas, the daughter of Charles Laten and Dora Lee Webb. She was a graduate of Greenland High School, Class of 1940 and attended the Fayetteville Business College. She was as Charter member of the Family Worship Center (now Gateway Church) where she served as secretary and Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was a housewife, loving mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of sixty-five years Kenneth Easterling. She is survived by a son Chuck and his wife Beth of Rogers, Arkansas, a daughter, Candace and her husband Monty of Fayetteville, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Chase and Lisa Easterling, Tyler and Peyton Nance, one great-grandson, Cory, one sister, Irene Powell of Lawton, Oklahoma, and a niece, Rosalea Peebles of Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at the Gateway Church, 518 North Cato Springs Road west of Greenland, with Pastors Kin Maddox and Tony Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Ford Cemetery just south of Greenland. Visitation will be 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 13, 2008, in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, 4520 North Crossover Rd., Fayetteville, Arkansas.
