Warren William Groeneman's Obituary
Warren William Groeneman, age 97, passed away Friday October 14th, 2022 peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born in Miami, Oklahoma onNovember 12, 1924, to Armin and Ruth (Hamilton) Groeneman.
Warren worked many years for Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, OK with four years of that time based in Caracas, Venezuela. Warren later became an independent retail owner/operator for many years in Blackwell, Oklahoma.
Warren enjoyed many years of camping and traveling with Mary and family and was able to visit all 50 states during those travels. Warren loved his family, big band music and the great outdoors. He was proud and honored to serve his country in the US Navy during World War 2.
Warren is survived by his loving wife Mary (Wilson-Leen) Groeneman, children David, Gail, and Mark (Terrie) Groeneman and Mark (Tammy) Leen, Cathy (Dave) Schmidt, sisters Mary Ruth (Joe) Harner and Janice Groeneman. Warren and Mary have 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great greatgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Austin (Maggie) Groeneman and his son Mike Leen.
A visitation will be held at the Nelson-Berna Funeral Home located at 100 South 28th St. in Rogers, Arkansas on Tuesday, October 18th from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Services will be held immediately afterwards at the Funeral Home. His family asks that if you so moved, donations may be made in Warren’s memory to Bland Chapel or Circle of Life Hospice both in Rogers, Arkansas.
