Rev. Wayne Danner
Rev. Wayne Danner, 87, of Springdale, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Springdale.
He was born October 27, 1924 in Tuttle, Arkansas, the son of Lee and Gladys Smith Danner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbye Burris Danner; two brothers, Joe Danner and Charles Danner and a grandson, Orey Hopper.
He was a retired Assembly of God minister, serving at Round Mountain Community Church, West Fork Assembly of God, First Assembly of God in Fayetteville for sixteen years, Calvary Assembly in Festus, Missouri for twenty one years and concluded his service at First Assembly of God in Van Buren as associate pastor.
He is survived by two sons, Philip Danner and his wife Nancy of Springfield, Mo and Mark Danner of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mary Lea Wood of Fayetteville and Louise Wood of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Justin Danner, Maci Danner, Kaid Hopper, Jeff Blue, Joe Blue and Jill Willoughby; fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:30 -7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 28 at Moore’s Chapel.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 29 at the First Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville with burial in Baptist Ford Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
