He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Bertha Woodside; Gladys Woodside; two brothers, Wilbur Woodside and Eugene Woodside; three sisters, Cora Smith, Audrey Cassoutt, and Annie Little; and two sons, Terry Woodside and James Hudson Jr.
Wayne is survived by his sisters, Judy Stahlheber, Virgina Urwin, and Betty Brocco; son, Steve Woodside; three daughters, Kathy Scherer, Lacey Murray, and Patti Morgan; and good friends, Tami Murray and Lauren Nichols.
If you knew Wayne, you adored him. He appreciated the little things in life and was a huge advocate for hard work, doing everything himself, and loving others well. Wayne enjoyed time on the lake on his boat, where he was often seen sporting jeans and the most defined farmers tan many have ever seen. He also enjoyed a lot of laughter, Branson shows, Silver Dollar City, the outdoors, jitterbugging, animals, weekly Mazzios lunches, Vegas trips, & an outrageous amount of ice cream. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict Era and was so proud that he was given the opportunity to serve our country. Wayne retired from Emerson Electric and spent many years owning Woodside RV and Boat Storage, along with several rental homes. Wayne was many things: a devoted son, father, brother, “papa”, & friend. He will be missed by many and we look forward to the day we are reunited and enjoying ice cream and chicken nuggets together in Heaven.
