Wilda Anna Riemenschneider Wyman's Obituary
Wilda Anna Riemenschneider Wyman, 85, of West Fork died early Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021. Wilda was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Thurman, Colo., to John and Dora Cole Riemenschneider, the third of eight children. She graduated from Lindon High School in 1953. On May 5, 1956, she was united in marriage to Jay Wyman in Howard United Methodist church at Last Chance, Colo. To this union were born 6 children: Sandra, Stephen, Judith, Sarah, Dale and David.
In 1962, the family settled on a farm near West Fork, where Jay and Wilda lived for the rest of their lives.
Wilda enjoyed crocheting, knitting and jigsaw puzzles. She loved to bake, particularly cinnamon rolls and bread, and made homemade noodles that her children requested for every holiday meal.
She also enjoyed visiting with friends at the Greenland Community Center, and talking on the phone with friends and relatives.
Wilda retired from the University of Arkansas food service after 15 years, was a member of Baptist Ford Church, and a member of the former Baptist Ford Extension Homemakers Club.
Wilda was preceded in death by her husband, Jay; children Stephen and Judith; her parents; and five siblings: Vernon, Alden and Donnie Riemenschneider, Dorothy Schenk and Rozella Wyman.
She is survived by her children: Sandra (Mike) Tyler of Sherwood, Sarah (Roy) Hobbs of Springdale, Dale (Anita) Wyman of Middleton, Tenn., and David Wyman of West Fork; siblings Opal Jefferson and Verle (Buni) Riemenschneider; in-laws Shirley and Linda Riemenschneider, and Ronald Wyman, all of Colorado; her grandchildren, Stephanie Kessler of Davenport, Fla., Jason Hobbs of Springdale, Ashley Keith of Olive Branch, Miss., Josh and Zach Wyman of Middleton, Tenn.; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation is Sunday, Aug. 8, from 2-4 p.m. at Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Funeral is Monday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. at Moore’s. Burial will be in Baptist Ford Cemetery at Greenland.
