William Charles Sherwood's Obituary
William Charles Sherwood, age 74, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Fayetteville due to multiple complications from diabetes. He was born March 4, 1940 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Charles and Freda Evans Sherwood. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1958. He was involved in developing Sherwood Trucking Company of Muncie, Indiana with his father.
He and Janie moved to Fayetteville in 1971 at which time he became an entrepreneur opening multiple business interest. He became the founder of King Pizza with multiple locations throughout the surrounding four state area. During this time he even made the world's longest pizza delivery to Hong Kong for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He enjoyed collectible cars and working on them.
He also had a passion for cutting horses.
There was never a dull moment with Sherwood's many adventures. His unique spirit will forever remain in the heart of God.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janie Sherwood; two sons, Jeff Sherwood and his wife Regina of Farmington, Arkansas and Eric Sherwood of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a half-brother, James True of Muncie, Indiana; a half-sister, Llanie Knox of Ellington, Florida and two grandsons, Dylan Sherwood and Jared Sherwood.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
Cremation arrangements under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
