I had known Dr. Brown as graduate student. He was my advisee for his Master's degree at Penn State. Bill was a hard working, dedicated student committed to learning and executing his research. I met him subsequently after he had earned his PhD at a professional society meeting. Bill was one of the most hard working young men I had as a student. His academic career at U of Arkansas was truly outstanding as was his commitment to God and man. We have suffered a loss much too early in his life. Bill and I communicated often during his life and especially during his many medical treatments.We will all miss Bill.

I just learned of the passing of Dr Brown. Such sad news. I was one of the lucky ones who knew Dr Brown. It is difficult how he influenced me in so many ways although he was not my direct adviser. He was a walking example of all good things. I still benefit from his writings and books. God bless his soul. I just learnt this morning about Dr. Brown's demise. I was sad to hear that. Dr. Brown was a great human being and a noble soul. For numerous students like me that came from a foreign country, he was the most supportive perosn that you could find on the UA campus. Not only was he physically tall and big, he had a tall personality with a big heart. He was a man of value, principles and character. He has shaped the lives of many students and his contributions to HiDEC, Dept. of EE and the U of A, will always remind us of him. I have tremendous respect for Dr. Brown. I salute him.

First of all a very belated condolence message to you. I just found out that Dr Brown passed away. He was a fantastic human being, a good soul and a great teacher. Coming to UofA from India he was gracious to accept me under his tutelage. He shaped my adult life as well as my wife's. I used to enjoy the dinners we used to have when he came to SF and Bay area for conferences. The nuggets of wisdom that he has imparted will forever remain etched in my soul.Dr Brown I bet you scored a touchdown in the end zone as you departed to another realm.

We all lost a good friend and colleague with Bill's passing. He was my friend for many years at the UA and a good source of sound advice and kidding when needed. I will miss him and that smile that always said a great deal. I am truly sorry for his passing.

I knew Dr. Brown through my sister, Bonnie, who worked with him at the UA College of Engineering. He was one of those rare souls who made those around him feel comfortable and at ease with his genuine warmth and kindness that emanated all was right with the world. I will never forget Bill Brown. It was my pleasure to have been Bill's faculty Master's degree advisor as a grad student at Penn State. His energy was very evident early in his academic career.
