William Hardy Day's Obituary
William "Bill" Hardy Day, 80, of Lowell, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 in the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born October 8, 1927 in Washburn, Missouri, the son of John and Effie (Snook) Day. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, retired from Willis Shaw trucking and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lowell, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife; Kathy Day of the home, five daughters; Cathy Ford of Rogers, Arkansas, Carolyn Mackey of Monett, Missouri, Janie Phillips of Billings, Missouri, Carol Meredith of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Judy Day of Springdale, Arkansas, two sons; Johnny Ford of Lowell, Arkansas, Tony Day of Aurora, Missouri, four sisters; Helen Day of Cassville, Missouri, Ruby Fletcher of Washburn, Missouri, Mary Murphy of Montana, Alma Smith of Purdy, Missouri, three brothers; Johnny Day of Exeter, Missouri, Gale Day of Monett, Missouri, Walter Day of Exeter, Missouri, twenty grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 AM, Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Lowell, Arkansas, with Pastors Gary Thomas and Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Fred Ford, James Ford, Billy Jones, Del Rasmussen, Sam Fairchild and Joey Kebert. Honorary Pallbearers will be; David Violette and Claude Burkhalter.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM, Monday, January 14, 2008 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM.
