William Fred Hawley Jr.'s Obituary
William Fred Hawley Jr., 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Sunday June 16, 2024. Fred was born January 7th, 1946 in Matador, Texas, to William Fred “Buddy” Hawley and Minnie Lee McMillan Hawley.
He married Eva Rose Morgan on March 20, 1965 in Shamrock, Texas. Together, Fred and Eva raised a son and daughter in Pampa, Texas. Fred became an Arkansas Razorback fan after moving to Arkansas in 1990. He came to the Natural State to continue his long and successful career in the bread business. Fred retired from Flowers Baking Company in 2015 after 50 years of selling bread. In retirement, Fred enjoyed watching his favorite westerns and spending time with his wife and family. Fred is preceded in death by his parents Buddy and Minnie Hawley, his in-laws Charlie and Maudie Morgan, three sisters Leona Parrish, Francis Hawley and Joyce Morgan; five brothers Dwayne Hawley, Johnnie Hawley, Alvin Hawley, Skip Morgan and Loyd Morgan; and three nephews Louis Cole, Terry Campbell, and Aron Morgan. Survivors include his wife, Eva Rose, of the home, daughter Mrs. Kimmy Varner and husband Richard of Tampa, FL, son Dr. Johnny Hawley of Elkins, Ark., granddaughters Mrs. Savanah Coslett and husband Kurt of Centerton, Ark, Miss Emily Varner of Raileigh, NC grand-sons Mr. Jacob Byars and partner Tiffany of Springdale, Ark. and Mr. Johnny James Hawley of Elkins, Ark. and one great-granddaughter, Miss Isabella Coslett of Centerton, Ark. Five sisters, Mrs. Oleta Stone and husband Donnie of Shamrock, TX; Mrs. Mary Lou Adair and husband Jerry of Oxford, IA, Mrs. Cathy McHenry and husband Jerry of Amarillo, TX, Mrs. Emma Francis Finn and husband Tom of Palm Springs, Calif., Mrs. Deloris Howell and husband Pat of McCloud, OK; four brothers, Mr. Glenn Hawley and wife Doris of Ivanhoe, Texas, Mr. Robert Hawley and wife Cathy of Coweta, OK, Mr. Preston Morgan and wife Julie of Tennessee Colony, TX, and Mr. Dwayne Morgan and wife Terri of Owasso, OK along with a multitude of loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 5PM- 7PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, AR, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Services will be held at 2PM at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ, 1506 West Robinson Avenue, in Springdale, AR with Kieth Kilmer officiating.
