We met Bill when he joined us at our dining room table at Brookstone, when Vernon McBride and my husband, Hugh Jeffus were both living. After Vernon passed away Dorothy Black joined Hugh, Bill and myself at our dining room table. We enjoyed Bill's humor and laughter. After Hugh passed away in January, Lena was moved to our table. Bill had three women to look over him. He was teased by others in the dining room. He would just smile. We all loved him. He would come down every afternoon where we played Mexican Train Dominio's. He would never play only watched. He was liked by everyone, and will be missed by all.
I got to meet Bill at Brookstone, where I work on the weekends. I always enjoyed talking to him, he was always so cheerful and he was such nice man, even on his off days he always had a smile.
I remember one weekend when I came in to work, he waved me over to his table to tell me about his surprise birthday party and how exciting the day had been. The smile on his face was priceless! Im going to miss him.
I'm very sorry for your loss, he will be greatly missed.
