William 'Max' Tilton's Obituary
William “Max” Tilton, 93 of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born August 21, 1921 in Pyatt, Arkansas the son of Henry and Edna Burns Tilton.
Mr. Tilton was a member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville and retired from the United States Air Force serving in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Juanita Tilton of the home; one son, Jerry Tilton and wife, Joy of Rogers, Arkansas; one sister, Betty Phillips of Leslie, Arkansas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Fayetteville followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
