Genell Woodbridge's Obituary
Genell Woodbridge Genell Woodbridge, born May 19, 1929 in Cincinnati, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on April 10, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jay E Woodbridge and her parents Fred and Lena Hamilton. She is survived by her son Gary Alan Woodbridge and his wife Patty Woodbridge of Guthrie, OK and her son David Jay Woodbridge and his wife Wendy Woodbridge of St. Charles, IL. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Matt and Kelsey Woodbridge of St Charles, IL. and Garrett and Haleigh Woodbridge of Guthrie, OK, and a sister, Geneva Rossen and her husband Warren of Victorville, CA., and a host of nieces and nephews. Genell was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother. Genell grew up in the Round Mountain area and later moved to Fayetteville. After marrying Jay, they moved to Chicago, IL where Genell was a hair dresser and then to Morristown, NJ where they raised their sons. In retirement, they moved a number of times in the Northwest Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri area. After Jay's death in 2002, Genell moved back to Fayetteville. Genell loved working in her yard and also loved attending church at Center Street Church of Christ. She volunteered with the church as much as her health would allow. Services will be held at the Center Street Church of Christ on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM, with Mr. Jack English officiating, a graveside service will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM, Thursday, April 16, 2009 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
