Our family came from Dayton with Standard Register just like your parents. We were trailblazers back then when companies were setting up satellite offices and plants in other parts of the country. This was back in the "dark ages" when families stayed pretty close to where they always lived. But then came the interstate system of roads and America really "spread her wings" & started driving everywhere besides our locale & companies wanted to move to accommodate these families.
I was in the 5th grade when we moved here and I have always remembered when daddy told me I had to learn how to spell Fayetteville. After I mastered that I had to learn how to spell Arkansas!! Nowadays kids won't understand that as you can be anywhere in the world thru the internet or tv documentaries. Besides that all my grandkids have passports and have lived in other countries.
My dad and mom were Bud & Mary Cotterman. You may remember them. Daddy died when Standard got unionized and the employees one time went on strike. Daddy's heart could not stand the stress. Mom lived on to age 94.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you . The Lord lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
