Adele L. O'Connell's Obituary
Adele L. O’Connell, age 98, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday March 3, 2021 in Fayetteville. She was born July 13, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio to Bernard and Josephine Trimbach Batter. She has been a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville since 1958. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and the Altar Rosary Society at St Joseph Church in Fayetteville. She worked at Sears in Fayetteville for 18 years and was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, which she pledged in 1944. She loved dancing, loved to play canasta, as well as bingo, bowling and water aerobics. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. “Irish” O’Connell and her son, Tim O’Connell.
She is survived by four daughters, Kathy Burleson and her husband Bob of Seffner, Florida, Jeanne Silvestri of Fayetteville, Christie Marsala of Fayetteville, Sheila Santa Ana and her husband Albert of Plano, Texas; two sons, Mike O’Connell and his wife Becky of Fayetteville and John O’Connell of Los Angeles, California; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Memorial Mass will be 11:00 am Saturday March 27, 2021 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville. If you are unable to attend, please feel free to watch the service via https://m.facebook.com/saintjoseph
