I want Agnes Walters' family to know how important she was to my two sons, Bill and Bob, who studied Spanish under her at Woodland Junior High School. They not only learned the language, and learned it well, but they developed an appreciation of Spanish culture, history and literature. They both studied further in Mexico, and Bill went on to major in comparative literature at Columbia University with an emphasis in Spanish.Agnes Walters inspired in them a love of Spanish that has lasted throughout their lives. Her memory will be with us always.
