Agnes B. Walters' Obituary
Agnes Bondy Walters, age 89, of Longmont, Colorado died December 1, 2012 at Longmont United Hospital.
Agnes was born on March 30, 1923 in Houston, Texas to Robert Clarence Bondy and Oreoline Morris Bondy. She married Dr. Hubert “Jack” Walters on January 1, 1947 in Laredo, Texas.
Agnes had a thirst for knowledge and love of education. She got a Bachelor’s degree in Education at Southwest Louisiana University and followed up with a Master’s in Spanish Literature at the University of Arkansas. She taught for 25 years mostly at the Junior High level.
Agnes was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Longmont, Colorado and a former member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tontitown. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Colonists, Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and Delta Kappa Gamma.
Preceding her in death are her husband; two brothers Robert Clarence Bondy, Jr., Morgan Alcide Bondy and her sister Iantha Bondy.
She is survived by two daughters Caroline Walters of Bedford, Texas; Rachel Walters Wallace and her husband Michael of Longmont, Colorado; a son Keith Walters of Dallas, Texas and nine grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Tontitown, Arkansas. Interment will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
