Biography
Alton Arvid Higgs, Jr, 68 of Elkins died Friday, November 25, 2011 in Fayetteville. He was born July 1, 1943 in El Paso, Texas the son of Alton Arvid Higgs, Sr. and Mildred Farmer Higgs.
He was employed by Elkhart Products Corporation as an engineer for 40 plus years and was a member of Sovereign Grace Fellowship.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years Alice Higgs of the home ; 2 daughters, Laura and her husband, Joe Srader of Fayetteville, Kim Higgs of Elkins; brother, Kenneth and his wife, Billie Higgs of Branson, MO; Sister-in-law, Dixie Higgs of Fayetteville and a granddaughter, Emma Srader.
Funeral service will be 10AM, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Sovereign Grace Fellowship with Gene Walker and Tom Lundstrum officiating. Burial will follow in McCord Cemetery in Elkins under the direction of Moores Chapel.
The family will receive friends at Moores from 5 to 7PM on Tuesday.
