Arthur Waymon Smith's Obituary
Arthur Waymon Smith, age 88, of Springdale, AR, departed from this life Wednesday, August 12, 2020. He was born May 10, 1932, in Whorton Creek, (Madison County), AR, a son of the late Ray Smith, SR, and Ova Mae Newberry Smith. Arthur was a U.S. veteran, serving in the Navy for four years and then enlisting in the Army and retiring as a Staff Sergeant. Also preceding him in death was a step son Phillip David Edwards; four brothers and five sisters.
Survivors are his wife Dixie Rogers Smith; brother in law, Maurice Rogers; children, Terrance Smith, Sharlene Lalk; grandchildren, Rebecca, Daniel, Max, Ian, Geneace, Phillip Maurice; four great grandchildren;siblings, E. Joe Smith, Cecil L. Smith and Cormal McMahan.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. Monday, until service time at Nelson-Berna. Burial is in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
