I consider Betty a very dear friend. I met her through Master Gardeners and I will cherish the many wonderful memories of knowing and working alongside Betty. I learned from her and laughed with her. She was an amazing, caring person. I send my heartfelt condolences to her family and to those who loved Betty as family. Rest In Peace dear friend. I will miss you.

Aunt Betty put herself in every plant she touched, whether her own, advice to her family (especially those not having a green thumb), or helping others through Master Gardeners.
She touched many lives in her long life, but especially mine in these later years. I cherish the phone visits, especially the memories and laughter shared. She truly was a very special lady and always will be in my heart.
We have many wonderful memories with Betty, working @ Headquarters House & Botanical Gardens, walking @ Tanyard Creek Nature Trail where she could identify everything we asked about. But our favorite memory took place several years ago when she asked for volunteers to help her find her family barn in Missouri. It took us 2 days of driving around but when we found it she was so excited! The present owner was very kind & allowed us to walk around the property. Betty remembered helping her dad build the barn & told us all about it. I’m so glad we shared that time together. RIP dear friend.
