Betty June Swope's Obituary
Betty June Swope, age 90, of Fayetteville, AR, passed from this life Friday, February 12, 2021. She was born September 25, 1930, in Bethany, MO, a daughter of the late Harvey O. Swope and Emily Byrd Swope. Betty was retired from the University of Arkansas. She served her entire career, which was forty-two years, as the secretary to the President of the Agriculture Department. After retirement, she attended the University of Arkansas earning a degree as a master gardener.
Survivors are one daughter, Deanna J. Showalter and a granddaughter, Victoria D.S Hollinger.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to, Susan G. Komen Society, visit www.komen.org and click on the donate button.
