Our sincere condolences.
B. Schein studied and then worked at SGU. While still a student, he began his scientific activity. After successfully defending his candidate's thesis and then his doctoral dissertation, he has authored over 150 mathematical publications. His scientific results have gained international recognition. Under his scientific guidance, many candidates defended their dissertations, and subsequently, numerous graduate students became well-known scientists, such as V. Trokhimenko, V. Molchanov, and D. Bredikhin. In 1978, B. Schein immigrated to the USA, where he worked as a professor at the University of Arkansas from 1980 onwards. During his time in the USA, he often visited Israel, where relocated and currently works as a mathematician at Bar-Ilan University — his son, Dr. M. Schein. The presented video captures a meeting, dedicated to the 80-th anniversary of B. Schein. The provided video captures a segment from a meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of B. Schein. Its participants before moving to Israel were also connected to the SGU (Saratov State University) and to B. Schein.
A. Shulman studied at SGU, E. Roiz studied and defended his candidate dissertation under the supervision of B. Schain. S. Lieber worked together with B. Schain at SGU. A. Sandler worked at SGU, and under his guidance, B. Schain began his studies at the university as a student.
