Charles S. Howard's Obituary
Charles Sandy Howard, 63, died March 28, 2008, at the Fayetteville Veteran's Home, Fayetteville, Arkansas, as a result of complications of prostate cancer.
He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, in February 1945 to Charles Marion Howard and Lucille Delores Horn Howard.
Charles was an All-State basketball player at Annie Camp Junior High School in Jonesboro and was a National Merit Scholar at Conway High School in 1963. He earned his bachelor?s degree from the University of Central Arkansas in 1967 where he was elected a member of Alpha Chi. He completed his military service with the United States Army in 1970 and was a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1973. He practiced law in Fayetteville for 28 years and was an avid chess and card player.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James Michael and Margaret Howard of Fayetteville and his sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte Marian and K. Thomas Klasson of New Orleans, Louisiana.
