Evelyn Wells Owen
I'm Christina's cousin, Evelyn Wells Owen. I will miss the Christina I knew as a teen. She was so lithe, sophisticated and pretty to this sheltered country girl. I was in awe and hung onto her every word, hoping one day to be like her. She never knew.
Later in life, I learned first hand how much of her ancestor's lives she had inside herself. Her mom, my Aunt Birdie, was my Dad's sister. So I knew of their love of the soil, growing and harvesting. Her ancestors created many things instead of purchasing and that innovation spirit lived in her also. She loved the scrub of the Ocala National Forest and its wonderous plants and wildlife. Adventures abounded.
Looking through old pictures I found one of her in her younger days. With much love.
