Christina Beatrice Granger's Obituary
Christina Beatrice Granger passed away on December 3, 2021. She was 79 years old. She was born in Pensacola, Florida on September 29, 1942, to Birdie and Eugene Brown.
Christina spent the first half of her adult life in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is where she met her lifelong best friend, DeDe. Christina loved birdwatching and was active in Arkansas Audubon Society for many years, including serving as its President. She was a member of the Ozark Society and loved the outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and canoeing. Christina especially enjoyed canoeing the Buffalo River, something that her son continues to enjoy to this day and he, in turn, has passed this love to his sons. She also developed her passion for knitting and needlework while in Little Rock. Christina loved to travel, and especially enjoyed her trips to Santa Fe and Taos.
After her children were grown, Christina moved to Fairhope, Alabama. She loved the warm Gulf weather, working in her garden, and walking the beach. Christina had a creative flair and immersed herself into the local arts community. She enjoyed knitting with her local knitting group and making pottery. Many of Christina’s pottery pieces were sold in Orange Beach, Alabama.
Christina is survived by her two brothers Bobby (Marie) and Jerry (Karen) and their families, her daughters Susan (David) and Cynthia (Mark) and her son Bruce (Meaghan); her seven grandchildren Jennifer, Katherine, Nicholas, Lauren, Benjamin, Milton, and Mary Margaret; and her two great-grandchildren Evelyn and Emilia.
Cremation arrangements are by Nelson Berna Funeral Home
