When I arrived on the scene at Walmart in February 1987 in the payables area of the accounting department, Jim Walker told me there was nothing "financial" about Walmart that Dan Davies didn't know and it would be wise to get to know him. Besides being "smart as a whip" who one could tell constantly juggled many balls in the air constantly, he was always ready and able with a friendly manner to answer any question I might have. I remember that no matter how many long hours we spent back then, Dan seemed to rack up way more hours than the rest of us. I could never find the cot I accused him of having at the "Home Office". Over my career, God has blessed me to have worked with people of integrity. That is one of His treasures we look back upon as most highly valued. I remember Dan as one of those people.
