The Dance
By what grace I can see
this wooded world surrounding me?
Where I felt at once, at one
with mountain, earth and tree!
And feeling free, with joy I felt
the will to dance!
And by what grace one day I stood
enraptured in this mountain wood
and felt with joy, the will to fly!
To dance! To Fly! to rise with ease
on angel wings and mountain breeze.
And by some grace, you will come to see
and know this place as you know me.
You'll lend by ashes to the wind
that every mountain stone and tree
may know that I'm not sleeping!
Neither an I dead! I am yours who died
but only for a moment and gained
what you by grace, must yet attain!
So with a song....love me
And with a prayer...bind me.
And with a tear...set me free..
To dance! To fly! To Be!
Beyond what we have known!
God is Lord of the dance
and dance goes on!
God IS Lord of the dance
and the dance goes on!
